A plant that is small but has the potential to be a giant
Strawlific's creative director, Corey Turpin, and David Simon met in 2010 in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Nine years later, when many ecosystems were being destroyed by the excessive consumer society in pursuit of convenience, and the problem of single-use plastics began to become serious, David met Sezy in Vietnam. Fascinated by Sezy, David immediately decided to start a manufacturing company, and when Corey asked him if he would like to work with him, he went there and was struck by the possibilities.
The deciding factor was the tremendous consumption of straws (about 2 billion straws every day in the world!). )。
By expanding awareness of global social issues and raising our voices for a review of laws on the issue of plastics, we hope to create a society that is good for the earth and society, and at the same time makes us feel good.
Strawlific is a coined word that is a combination of "straw" and "prolific". Prolific means prolific and prolific.
The first plant that the two meet, the shining protagonist Sezy. It grows quickly, grows strongly, spreads around the world as many straws, and is very active. Such a wish is put into it.
