Studied lacquer art at Tohoku University of Art and Design.
After experiencing the Great East Japan Earthquake while in school, I decided to make a vessel because I thought that "meal time" was an irreplaceable thing to interact with people during the day.
At the Yamanaka Lacquerware Industrial Technology Center in Ishikawa Prefecture, he learned about traditional crafts such as woodworking and potter's wheels.
He trained for four years under Shintaro Tsuji, who had been his teacher for a long time. Independence in the form of taking over the work of the master.
In the 9th year, he witnessed problems such as a shortage of raw wood and a shortage of successors in the lacquerware production area, and launched "Shinkokyu" as a solution.
