Support for farmers! And we have a responsibility to protect not only farmland but also the earth.
Nao was born in Okinawa and Glenn was born in New Zealand.
The desire to cherish the country I love where I was born and raised!
My first encounter with Manuka honey was when I met a beekeeper living in the same town as me in New Zealand at the time.
Normally, small-scale beekeepers wholesale the honey they collect to major companies, but from a certain point in time, the price became more and more expensive, so I was in trouble and consulted, which was my encounter with Manuka honey.
We visited their apiary, observed their work, asked them about their thoughts on beekeeping, and when we tried the Manuka honey they actually make, we were impressed by how delicious it was with no peculiarities at all.
At that time, I sympathized with the splendor of Manuka honey and was obsessed with its charm.
Also, my family used to be a farmer, so I have experienced that farming is not easy.
Glenn holds a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of the Ryukyus.
Okinawa is a subtropical country with many pests and typhoons, and I have experienced firsthand that the hard work of farmers is not rewarded.
We want to help farmers who are farming in an environment that is not easy at all, and we want to contribute to the community and society, and we want to protect the farmland of Okinawa, which we love. I've always had the idea that it can be realized by fusing it with New Zealand's Manuka honey and Okinawan fruits! That's how I linked to it.
