Kinsai crafts is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods to apply gold leaf to cloth such as obi and kimono.
Taking advantage of that technology, we collaborated with a glass processor to create a glass bean plate.
From left to right: black, blue, light blue, silver, pink
The transparent fabric is rubbed with an abstract bubble-like pattern with medium mud (the color between gold and silver), silver mud, and sesame powder.
* Sliding foil processing: A process in which a pattern is applied with foil using a paper pattern or silk screen mold.
The fabric is attached to the glass by special processing and Mr./Ms. with resin.
The shape will be rectangular.
Since there is a sense of transparency, the expression changes depending on the color of the background on which it is placed.
It is a cool dish.
Compare the size with a conventional 10cm square bean dish.
The size is about 8 cm square× about 3 mm thick
It can be used as a bean plate to put sweets on important customers, or as a tray for accessories and keys that have been attached. It can also be used as an incense plate.
You are free to use it.
