◆ Why this "bitter" IPA now? ◆
In contrast to the cloudy and fruity "Hazy IPA" that has become popular these days, it is an old-fashioned "IPA (India Pale Ale)" with a clear appearance and a strong hop bitterness.
It has a refreshing and slightly spicy aroma like grapefruit and pine. When you put it in your mouth, you can first feel a solid bitterness, but it's refreshing with malty! It has a good sharpness and makes you want to drink as many cups as you want. Recommended for those who say, "After all, craft beer has to be bitter!"
We aimed to be an IPA that you can drink every day without getting tired of drinking. A cup that is close to you (me).
Yagiri Brewery, which has been pursuing hazy IPAs, is releasing a clear IPA with full confidence. It is a bottle that is different from sweetness and turbidity, and can be said to be a return to the origin.
Instead of using modern hops such as Nectaron and Mosaic, the blend is a blend of six classic hops that supported the early days of craft beer, including Chinook, Cascade, Simcoe, and Amarillo. It expresses a complex yet somewhat nostalgic deep flavor reminiscent of citrus and pine resin.
A clear bitterness index of IBU 60. And an extremely dry finish with a final specific gravity of 1.006. The malt sweetness was minimized to bring out the maximum character and sharpness of the hops. The light malt aftertaste invites you to take the next sip. It is truly designed to "not get tired of drinking".
Now that Hazy IPAs are in their heyday, there is a strong demand for a clear IPA with a firm bitterness. This "Yagiri no Watashi IPA" not only meets the expectations of such customers, but also is a "clear IPA made by a brewery that pursues hazy". It goes well with greasy and spicy dishes.
