It is said to be the island of New Guinea because Spanish explorers named it "New Guinea" because of its resemblance to Guineans in Africa. The name Papua comes from the Malay word for curly hair of the indigenous Melanesians. The characteristic of coffee cultivation on this island is that there are many small coffee farmers instead of plantations, and many native varieties remain. This tropical mountain is a coffee developed in collaboration with a coffee trading company in Japan after CIC (Coffee Industry Corporation LTD), a government agency of the coffee industry in Papua New Guinea, purchased beans from small-scale coffee plantations. The reason for the joint project with a government agency over a period of seven years is that they want to raise the level of quality improvement of Papua New Guinea coffee and encourage the motivation of producers by making stable purchases at a price commensurate with it.
