Kinsai crafts is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods to apply gold leaf to cloth such as obi and kimono. Taking advantage of that technology, we created a glass decorative dish in collaboration with a glass processor. The moon is split and foiled using pure gold leaf on a black background of pure silk, which is also used for kimonos, and the flowing water is rubbed with silver mud (a process in which patterns are applied with foil, etc.). The fabric is bonded to the back of the glass by special processing, and Mr./Ms. is sanded with EVA resin from above. The resin on the back side has a non-slip finish that has a non-slip effect, and it also has a shattering prevention effect when the glass breaks. The shape will be our original fan shape. It can also be used as a plate to put sweets on important customers. It can also be used as a tray for towels and amenities.
