The bonito flakes method was introduced to Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture about 300 years ago. It has a long history and is now the largest port city in Japan in terms of bonito flakes production. We made a spiced curry base using plenty of bonito flakes, a specialty of Makurazaki City, which has such a history and the aroma of soup stock. Dill seeds are used to go well with fish dishes, and the flavor of bonito flakes and the refreshing spice are appetizing. Combine it with 200cc of water and one can of whole tomatoes and simmer it over low heat for 30 minutes, and anyone can easily create a spiced curry filled with the flavor of bonito flakes. It is also recommended to add your favorite vegetables, meat and fish. You can make spiced curry for 3~4 people (2 cups of rice) with one jar.
