Tea leaves harvested from one of the best tea plantations in Kagoshima Prefecture are carefully selected to create a tea with a mellow mouthfeel that harmonizes umami and richness. "Chirancha" is a brand green tea produced in Minamikyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture, which boasts the largest tea production volume in Japan. Minami-Kyushu City has the conditions to produce delicious tea, such as well-drained and fertile soil created by Sakurajima's volcanic ash, warm climate throughout the year, and abundant sunshine. The characteristic of Chiran tea is that it is a tea made with a long steaming method called "deep steaming". By steaming the tea steaming process for nearly twice as long as the steaming time of general sencha tea, the mellow richness and flavor of the kabushi tea are further enhanced.
