Sweet potato sweets "PoTaLa" (Potala)
Even at the restaurant "Yamaneko Bottling Institute" that we operate, which is located deep in the mountains away from the city, it is a very popular café menu that there is a line on holidays.
When you put a warmed knife in a frozen PoTaLa, its cross-section melts and gives off a crunchy look and a sweet scent.
If you put it in your mouth with a warmed fork or knife while it is still hard, you will first taste the aroma and sweetness of burnt sugar. From there, the flavor of the sweet potato gradually spreads in the mouth.
When it melts, it becomes even more trotty, and the flavor of sweet potatoes and caramel marries.
We want to convey to the world the charm of new sweet potatoes that are not found in traditional snacks in Japan.
With that in mind, PoTaLa was born.
In cooperation with producers, we carefully select and use freshly picked sweet potatoes.
In order to make the eater smile naturally, we carefully made it by sticking to everything from the ingredients to the taste.
PoTaLa was completed after a year of trial and error until the Wildcat Bottling Institute opened.
