Born the son of an 87-year-old umbrella shop founded by my grandfather, I grew up near the downtown area from an early age, so I have been heartbroken to see the umbrellas that my grandfather and father carefully created and handled were left as garbage in a messy manner on the morning after a rainy day.
Umbrellas used to be so expensive and important that they were passed on to their children and grandchildren.
We would like to propose a new form of umbrella as a product that can be cherished in such a way.

We will change the shape of the umbrella and change the concept of the umbrella in order to be recognized as a product that everyone can cherish.
Changing the shape of an umbrella, which has been ridiculed as a product that has not changed for 4,000 years, requires not only changing the shape, but also making it a universal umbrella that solves all the inconveniences and dissatisfaction of umbrellas.
Folding umbrellas are small when unfolded, cumbersome to fold, and vulnerable to strong winds and heavy rains.

If we solve such a disadvantage, we will be able to reduce the amount of umbrella waste that is discarded by 130 million umbrellas a year, most of which ends up in landfills. With this in mind, the concept of SDGs is supported by major companies such as Yoshimoto Kogyo and ANA, as well as the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Japan government.
