All KIRIFT stockers are made only of domestic paulownia.
Currently, more than 90% of the paulownia products and paulownia boxes distributed in Japan are made from Chinese paulownia.
The biggest advantage of Chinese paulownia is that the unit price is low.
However, due to the rules of the Chinese government, it is not possible to sell raw wood, and lumber sawn in China is imported.
Paulownia scum comes out from the cut part from the moment it is sawn.
Due to the scum, the cross-section of paulownia becomes black, red, or discolored.
In order to stop the discoloration, a strong bleach special for wood is sprayed, and the surface itself becomes pure white, and it enters Japan.
The properties of this bleach also do not last long, and over time, it begins to turn black.
In Japan, stockers for rice and food are made and distributed using such paulownia wood.
As a paulownia box manufacturer, we have used our knowledge of paulownia to create and use products that can be used safely and securely, rather than products that specialize in cheapness, so we have developed a brand using domestic paulownia as the material.
Domestically produced paulownia is raw wood, purchased mainly from the Tohoku region, and is made into the highest quality paulownia wood by using water and hot water without relying on chemicals such as bleach, and then exposed to the climate for several months to several years before being dried.
We will consider the creation of products that are safe and secure for the food in KIRIFT's stockers, for the people who use them, and for the environment.
Since all processes in the manufacture of stockers are done by hand by craftsmen, we also accept restoration, repair, aftercare, and maintenance.
Because it is highly durable and made by craftsmen, it is made with all our hearts so that it can be used for a lifetime by those who can use it.
