More than 10 years ago, I was asked to decorate a venue for a friend's wedding party. So, along with the venue, it would be wonderful if the customers who came were also part of the decoration! I thought about it. Then, I came up with the idea of making an accessory that customers could choose to wear instead of wristbands when they came to the venue and checked in.
The bride was dressed in kimono at the ceremony, so if you can express the atmosphere at that time well! I thought about it and looked for materials. I put up a gift bag that I had on hand."Mizuhiki"It caught my eye. It's colorful and congratulatory! I immediately bought a mizuhiki. We were expecting more than 100 visitors, so we practiced hard and managed to get it into shape.
For women, rings and hair accessories, and for men, brooches with metal fittings that can be fastened to ties and jackets, etc.One piece of art is one of a kind, all in different colors and shapes。 Along with that, we also made special mizuhiki decorations for the bride and groom.
On the day of the event, the people who came were really happy to match their own dresses and choose while having fun with their friends. When I was making 100 mizuhiki in such a flow, I was able to tie them naturally. This skill is useless as it is! So I decided to commercialize it.
It's been a long time, but this is the beginning of OTUTUMI. At OTUTUMI, each customer'sCherish the feeling of celebration and gratitudeI would like to lead to commercialization.
In addition, I would like to expand my activities by making various motifs and making art works so that Mizuhiki can be known not only in Japan but also in the world.
