About the brand
All of the "Kutani Japanese Glass" is a fusion of two traditional crafts, Kutani ware and handmade glass such as Edo glass. It is based on the concept of "harmony of Japanese and Western spaces".
A beautiful collaboration between Kutani ware and handmade glass. The joints are made of technology that has won the Good Design Award.
It is a "new tradition" born to incorporate traditional crafts and techniques that have been passed down in Japan into modern life. New possibilities for traditional crafts that harmonize with living spaces, regardless of whether they are Japanese or Western.
All Kutani Japanese glasses are handmade. The Kutani ware part is painted one by one by a painter. The glass part is hand-blown Edo glass. It is a gem that has a texture and is strangely warm.

Commitment to the product
Who are supporting us?
At first, we started developing wine cups made of Kutani ware and metal bonded in 1991. There, for the first time, Kutani ware decorated the table as "Western-style tableware" instead of "Japanese".
However, with the joining technology of the time, it was not possible to join Kutani ware and glass. Therefore, for about three years, President Shimizu worked on research and development of joining technology even while he slept. And so Kutani Japanese glass was born.
Its bonding technology (strength and durability) was highly evaluated, and it was awarded the Good Design Award for New Domains.
Kutani Wa Glass is developing products that combine the beautiful painting of Kutani ware with handmade glass such as Edo glass. Since we carefully select and use good materials, it gives a sense of luxury while having the warmth of handmade. Regardless of whether it is Japanese or Western, it will blend in and color the dining table.
Commitment to the product
All Kutani Japanese glass is handmade.
The legs of Kutani ware are formed as a base, fired in a kiln, and painted one by one. Each pattern is packed with craftsmanship.
Edo Glass commissions a traditional glass subsidiary in Tokyo from the molds, designs the entire product in a beautiful shape, and manufactures it originally.
The combination of them is Kutani Japanese glass. In order to provide better products to our customers, we do not compromise and manufacture with the best technology in each process.
We offer a wide variety of shapes and patterns to meet the various requests of our customers. There are more than 1,000 combinations. We also accept consultations on original products by keeping glass materials and leg materials.
The target group is relatively large number of women in their late 20s ~ 30s. It has strong support among people in their 40s and older, where the traditional craft "Kutani ware" is pervasive, but surprisingly young customers are also using it.
In particular, it is often used as a gift, and there are often cases where pear glasses are purchased as a wedding gift. I have received comments from people who love it themselves and say, "I like it, so I want it as a gift."
