We made cotton blankets from Izumi-Otsu, Osaka, known as the "city of blankets", with a design suitable for the current living environment.
The production area is Izumiotsu City, Osaka Prefecture, which is known as the "city of blankets" and produces nearly 90% of the domestic blankets.
Originating from Sanada-ori, through the development of cow blankets (Meiji 20), we established brushing techniques such as cotton blankets and wool blankets, which are called "Otsu brushing".
There are various techniques and materials, such as blankets made from woven cloth and blankets made from knitted cloth.
In Showa 45, a new blanket called Meyer blanket was developed, and it is now widely used as a standard blanket.
Moriya Woolen Co., Ltd., the production plant of LOOM&SPOOL, is the only integrated factory in the blanket town of Izumi-Otsu that can complete the entire process from delivered yarn to finished blankets in one factory.
While continuing to make Japan blankets that have evolved to match the good old futon culture and breathable Japan houses, the factory considers that "the blankets of the future must be devised to suit the future era and housing."
By adding modern design ideas proposed by LOOM&SPOOL to the technologies we have cultivated over many years, we aim to develop and produce blankets that are adapted to the living environment of the future.
