Originally, when I was working as a fashion designer, I had the opportunity to be involved in Chichibu Meisen, a textile made mainly in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture. In the midst of all this, he was fascinated by one material, silk, and started making basic cosmetics that took advantage of the characteristics of silk. When I used fragrance-free cosmetics in the process of developing cosmetics, I realized the importance of fragrance, and I began to think that I would like to create an original scent someday and make use of it in skin care.
At that time, I encountered the existence of Kuromoji that can be obtained in Chichibu, and BLACK LETTERS was born based on the keyword of fragrance.
Through our own filter of Chichibu's great nature, local people, and the long history associated with it, we would like to develop a recycling-type product that can only be done in Chichibu and can only be born in Chichibu.

There are many plants around the world that grow wild only in that place. In Japan, there are many essential oils that can only be found in Japan and fragrances unique to Japan, but only a small number of Japanese essential oils in Japan can be obtained due to poor productivity, and most of them are made overseas.
We proceeded with the development with the desire to create a perfume that makes use of natural domestic materials as much as possible, and to create a product that can heal the feelings of people who are stress-free in modern society as much as possible.
Unlike essential oils obtained in other regions, natural black moji from Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, has a strong citrus fruit, and it is possible to extract essential oils that have the characteristics of containing many of the same ingredients as lavender. It is a very valuable essential oil that can only be obtained from 1 kg of dried leaves of Kuromoji, and because of its bactericidal action and good aroma, it is also used as a high-grade toothpick when eating Japanese sweets.
Currently, black maples are also extracted from those that grow naturally, but the amount taken can be circulated by planting trees properly. It is also called a circular economy, but we are aiming for a recycling-oriented society. There are people who receive Megumi from the forest, make products, buy them, experience them in the forest, and return them to the forest. Our goal is to create such a recycling-oriented facility.

There are three types of scents: KUROMOJI, URAHA, and SORAIRO. All of them contain natural black moji. The spray can be about 250 pushes in 8ml. It can be used with 2 or 3 pushes at a time. The perfume will be eau de toilette and will last from about 2 to 6 hours.
The best places to wear perfume are generally behind the ears, behind the knees, on the inside of the arms, on the elbows, wrists, waist and ankles.

With the cooperation of Yao Honten, which operates Chichibu's famous sake Chichibu Nishiki, we have produced 77 degrees alcohol and developed three types of scents as they are. It can also be used as a room spray, fabric spray, or pillow spray.
