Neither the skin nor the seeds are discarded. Using a biogas system to produce dried fruits
"Yvaya Farm", which has increased the number of fans in Japan, has accumulated a track record of overseas exports to the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and France in addition to Japan. A new plant was established to meet the demand that is expected to increase in the future. The new plant is equipped with a biogas system, which was the long-cherished dream of the founders Yvette and Emmanuel, and the production of dried fruit in a 100% circular economy system by reusing all the peels and seeds of fruit that would normally be discarded.
When the fruit is brought in from the farmer, the first thing to do is to wash the fruit, remove the skin, seeds, and pineapple stems before processing it into dried fruit. In the past, the discarded part of this fruit was disposed of, but the two of them have been aware of the problem since the founding of the company, wanting to reuse it somehow.
With the introduction of the new system, the skins and seeds are broken down into compost and gas. The compost is returned to the farmers, and the gas is used to dry the fruit. It is a truly sustainable system that receives all the blessings of nature without wasting anything and returns them to the ecosystem.
